Farewell Dinner ends at 1:00 PM
Recharge! It’s a double header event with two parts. One part is a KMBC Open House for high-school sophomores, juniors, seniors and recent grads. The Recharge Conference has been designed for pastors and Christian leaders involved in local church leadership.
In every profession, workers need to take special refresher courses to stay current and up-to-date. For pastors and those involved in church leadership, it is no different! To be at our best for God we need to take time to recharge our spiritual batteries, sharpen our tools, and catch a new vision and passion for ministry. To meet this need, KMBC is sponsoring “Recharge.” The broad themes will be leadership and outreach. We have a strong line-up of speakers who are qualified to speak on these subjects:
Dr. Curtis Lewis has served in ministry across the country. He has pastored several large churches in the Church of the Nazarene including Grove City, Ohio, Houston Spring Branch, and Oklahoma City Western Oaks and has taught on the religion faculties at Trevecca Nazarene University and Southern Nazarene University before becoming District Superintendent of the Northern Michigan and Kentucky Districts. For sixteen months in 2015-2016, he was interim district superintendent of the Dallas District Church of the Nazarene. He now teaches in the School of Adult and Professional Studies at Southern Nazarene University. He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University and Nazarene Theological Seminary; received a doctor of ministry degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary; and has published a variety of preaching and worship aids for pastors.
