Spring Choir Tour 2013

KMBC’s Spring 2013 Choir Tour was truly blessed and anointed by God’s presence and power. The tour began Friday evening, March 8th, with an opening concert in the Helen Mathews Luce Chapel here at the college. The tour took choir members to ten different churches throughout Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Although the choir enjoyed some sightseeing, visiting family and friends, as well as making new friends; most of all, they enjoyed the presence of God as He worked among them in many amazing ways. What was the key in making the tour such a success? It was the continual emphasis on prayer. Choir members led seasons of prayer in the vans, after sound check, and before each service. The services were blessed times, full of God’s presence and power. Choir members unashamedly shared their testimonies, telling what God had done in their lives and how far He had brought them. The songs never seemed to get old as they were sung service after service. The messages of such songs as “The Wonder of the Cross,” “The Well,” “Amazing Grace” and others flowed from grateful lips and hearts as hands were lifted in praise to the God who gives these words eternal meaning and truth.
