New Laptops!

In the vastly changing technology world of the twenty-first century, the IT Department at Kentucky Mountain Bible College strives to continually enhance the  educational environment at the college. This past fall KMBC upgraded its high-speed internet to a fiber optics line, quadrupaling usage, to better serve the needs of the whole campus community.

In the new Helen Mathews Luce Chapel, IT ensured the chapel had a quality sound system, lighting, networking, and presentation system incuding three projectors and foyer television.

Within the last year additional power outlets strips were added to each classroom to aid students as laptops become ideal for classroom learning.

Most recently KMBC had wanted to introduce electronic testing. With the support of Wyatt Buchanan, this vision became a reality. Mr. Buchanan donated fifteen laptop computers for this specific purpose. These computers were first used by the gradutating Seniors of 2011 to complete the ABHE Bible Test. The IT Department is excited to see steps taken in improving the educational environment at KMBC, making it more accomodating to both students and faculty.
