Biography

Dan grew up on the campus of Kentucky Mountain Bible College where his father, Rev. Tom Lorimer was an instructor and administrator. He loved the people and spiritual atmosphere so prevalent on campus. Homeschooled all the way through high school, Dan excelled academically and in computer-related extra curricular activities. Upon graduation from high school in 2004, God led Dan to enroll at KMBC, studying in the Ministerial and Communication fields. Throughout college, he was also involved in many extracurricular groups and activities. Through student work opportunities at the college, Dan gained valuable experience in computer hardware, software, and software development, in addition to teaching assistant roles in his senior year. He graduated as valedictorian in 2009.

“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” – Colossians 3:17

After graduation from Bible college, God led Dan to continue on at KMBC as faculty and also serving in the IT department and as assistant to the Executive Vice President. At the same time, he began pursuing a Masters Degree in Education from Aspen University, which he completed in 2014. In 2011, God shifted his primary focus to managing Mountain Gospel Radio, WMTC, in Jackson, KY. Since 2011, Mountain Gospel Radio has continued to improve and expand to better reach the community and around the world with the message of the Gospel. Mountain Gospel Radio streams online at www.mountaingospel.org.

Dan has spent most of his life applying technology to facilitate ministries and spread God’s Word. He loves helping students learn how to effectively use technology for the cause of Christ!
