The Annual Jackson's Partnership Dinner
The KMBC Campus family welcomed guests for the evening fellowship. Local community leaders and business owners from Jackson and surrounding Breathitt County were invited. Pastors from several churches also attended. It was an honor to have our state representative, Ted Edmonds, join us for the evening. The faculty and staff joined in for a great time of fellowship with our guests.
The meal was to show appreciation for support the community gives. In the past the college has had good working relations with the community and still does to this day. We honor and respect the relationship we have with the community and we acknowledge their support and loyalty throughout many years.
The dinner was also a time in which the college updated the community on what is going on at the college. Good change is always a great thing to report. The guests were updated on new happenings such as the construction of the Helen Matthews Luce Chapel/Fine Arts Building. We are excited by what God is doing on our campus.
The kitchen staff prepared a lovely meal of steak, baked potatoes, corn, homemade bread, and salad. The dinner was topped off with black berry cobbler/cherry pie and ice cream for dessert. It was KMBC's best, and our guests sure did enjoy it. Decorations were the beautiful fall colors which added to the evening.
The evening was topped with entertainment from “Harmony”, a male quartet from the college. Everyone present was encouraged to sing along on several stanzas of Amazing Grace. It was a time of praise and worship to God for his faithfulness.
It was a great response from people around the community. People were very appreciative of the warm, friendly atmosphere. An offering was taken during the meal. It was the largest dinner offering we have received!
We praise God for our community and their support. We pray God's blessing upon them and pray to share our vision with them as we climb higher into the future.
