Spring Choir Tour 2011

Spring Choir Tour 2011

Friday, March 11th, marked the beginning of Kentucky Mountain Bible College’s ten day spring choir tour. The sixteen member women's chorus was under the direction of Mr. Jay Wisler, Chair of the Music Department. Mr. Aram Street, a KMBC student, accompanied the ladies on piano, and President Philip Speas traveled with the choir, representing the school.

Choir Praying

The choir's first service took place in Albany, Kentucky.  (Click Here to see full schedule). From there the choir visited Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Georgia. The KMBC choir rejoices over the opportunity to sing and testify in a public elementary school during their stay Georgia. During the upcoming post-tour, the choir will also be visiting Indiana and Michigan.

A few of the memorable moments by the team members include visiting the home of Sergeant Alvin C. York in Tennessee, boarding the U.S.S. Alabama, and spending a day at Dauphin Island, Alabama. Though these were enjoyable events, the most life changing memories were the times of spiritual growth that took place over the tour. From group devotions in the vans, times of prayer before each service, and moments that God brought unity; the choir will not soon forget this blessed time of ministry.
