Spring Semester 2011

With the conclusion of the eight-day January term, the new spring 2011 semester is off to an enthusiastic start. Friday evening several KMBC students, faculty, and staff prayed in the new semester, asking God to pour out His Spirit this coming year in a fresh and mighty way.

The first two chapels of the new year were delivered by President Dr. Philip Speas and

President emeritus Dr. Wilfred Fisher. Students were challenged to rely on the Lord’s strength and power that they may “mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary” (Isaiah 40:31b). In one’s own strength, one will soon suffer from burn-out, but in the Lord’s strength – what a joy ride!

Dr. Fisher, 96, preached Tuesday morning from the account of the rich, young ruler. He exalted Christ as the Good Master, Teacher, Doctor, and Rabbi. As His disciple, the Christian will always be learning in the footsteps of the Master.
