Changing of the Seasons

Once again, the seasons have begun to change around the Kentucky Mountain Bible College campus. As leaves gently drift across campus by a cool fall breeze and rich colors clothe the mountain side, one is reminded of God’s artistic handiwork. The Lord has brought many to KMBC from various seasons of life. Some have come to KMBC as a new seedling in Christ, seeking tender nourishment and care; others have been growing in Christ for many years but need their roots to grow deeper and stronger for a vibrant life of ministry and service.

A few have come through a harsh winter of testing and need the loving touch of spring. On the other hand, as many of the garden plants have been cut back and pruned in preparation for a fuller life in the spring, so also the Lord has placed many a student at KMBC for a season of pruning that they may bear a greater harvest in the days to come.

As the wise King Solomon wrote:

To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven: …
A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted;
A time to kill, And a time to heal;
A time to break down, And a time to build up; …
A time to gain, And a time to lose; …
A time to tear, And a time to sew.”

Ecclesiastes 3:1, 2b, 3, 6a, 7a
