Junior/Senior Banquet 2010

Each year, KMBC juniors prepare and organize a special evening just for the senior class – the Junior/Senior Banquet.  This year's theme to honor the Class of 2010 was “Our times are in His hand,” a line in Robert Browning's poem, Rabbi Ben Ezra. The dining hall was transformed into an elegant London scene, complete with a classic black and white color scheme, Big Ben, and beautiful piano music. A lovely meal of Poppy Seed Mandarin Salad, Beef Wellington, Rosemary Roasted Potatoes, and Spinach Supreme was topped off with a wonderful cream puff dessert.  In addition to an amusing version of Jeopardy entitled “Name that Senior,” the Juniors paid tribute to each senior, sharing kind words personally and special messages from families and church families.

After a slide show of special senior snapshots, Dr. Wilfred Fisher prayed for each member of the class of 2010, asking the Lord's blessing on their lives and journeys into ministry.

The junior class wanted the banquet to be a time of encouragement for the students whom they had watched and admired throughout their time at KMBC. May the Lord bless and strengthen each senior as they prepare to say goodbye to the familiar home of KMBC and head out into a world full of exciting ministry opportunities!
