KMBCs College Choir visited southern states in this year's Spring Tour! Traveling from Tennessee to Georgia, from Alabama to Mississippi, with stop in Florida along the way, the choir sang in ten services throughout their time on the road.

A typical service consisted of the choir's repertoire of six songs, with KMBC's singing groups New Hope and Harmony singing one or two songs. Mr. Jay Wisler led this group of 17 young people in music ministry, and Dr. Speas spoke about KMBC's mission, informing each congregation of the exciting things currently happening at the college.

Miss Ruth Speas was also on the road with the group, speaking in churches about the college's upcoming recruiting event – iLive! God's presence was certainly in every service, and He was faithful to bless in each aspect of the tour.

One special opportunity was when the choir ministered for a teen night in Thomasville, Alabama. Before the service, the choir had the privilege of spending a couple hours with the youth group, tossing a football around, shooting hoops, and chatting. After opening in worship, the choir sang a few songs, Ruth Speas gave her personal testimony about choosing to serve the Lord, Dr. Speas spoke specifically about why Bible college is a good choice for young people, and Nathan Neihof shared a devotional about freedom from sin and death – freedom found only in Jesus Christ. The choir really enjoyed meeting this youth group, and we pray that these teens would continue to seek God in their lives!

As they covered much ground in the south, they met amazing people, ate wonderful food, and enjoyed fun stops! They ate peach ice cream in Georgia, had delicious strawberry shortcake in Florida, spent a few hours at the beautiful beach of Dauphin Island in Alabama, visited historic Vicksburg in Mississippi, and had an exciting detour at the end of the journey in Tennessee! And to the sadness of some, no real, live alligators were spotted... but maybe next time!

The choir is thankful to each church for hosting us and making us feel so welcome! And we thank the Lord for His presence during the tour and the opportunities to worship Him in many different churches this spring. May He always be glorified, and may our voices always be lifted to Him!
